| There are many Rice planting festival left in Nara prefecture, playng the
imitation of planting. In them, some one date back to the middle ages.
The rice planting festival at Hirao is one of old festivals. This is the
scene "Syottome" played by children were rounding on the stage
imitating the planting. They put on the ancent cloth and a sedge hat with
the seedlings. After that scene, a doll with a mask named "Wakamiya"
