Kokuou_shrine is located at Yase of Totokawa village, famous of a long
suspension bridge. It is known that Emperor Choukei of Southern palace
was killed and his head was fouund at the poiunt of this shrine 600 years
ago. Totokawa village is famous of loyalty to the emperor and this festival
has been kept by villagers. When I watch the procession as this photo,
I had a illusion that ghosts had been wandering during 600 years. -- All photos about the grand festival of Kokuou_shrine --
