This bow festival performed at Kenitoku temple in Kamikitayama villege in January is begun by the descendant of Heike 600 years ago for the purpose of the exercising. Today morning the members purify their bodies in the river and at 1:00 p.m. the main ceremony start. This ceremony hold the old bowing style of Japanese ancient "Samurai". On this photo the shooter was taken on the "Yakushi hall" on the top of the hill, where many flag were fluttering like as "Heike's red flag", but really blue.
