Kango shrine is located at back alley by Sanjou street about three minute from Kintetsu Nara station, and deserted place beside the tomb of Kaika Tennou, old Japanese King. However it is known to one of the oldest shrine in Nara because of the foundation in 593 A.D. . Additionally, Sonokami and Karakami, deified spirits at Kango shrine, was moved to the palace in Heiankyo and prayed by Tennou family politely. It continued in the shinto ceremonies by Tennou family at Tokyo now. It is considerd as one of the most misterious legend.
A lot of Lily flowers are carried from the mountain Miwa at June-16, in every year and dedicated to the God with a pot. (All photos/Kango shrine/Chinkasakigusa shrine)
