| Offering is always made at Shinto ceremony. It is usually composed of three
kind of natural products from sea, mountain and farm. Sometimes it is decorated
loudly. This photo is "Hanakenka", offered at Autumn festival
of Daianjihachiman. This body is made of wheat, and decorated of cut papers
and five fruits, a rice cake, a persimmon, a chestnut, a pomegranate and
a myouga. Especially a myoga is worked and sharped as a bird. At Nara there
are many Japanese Shinto ceremony with special offering (Reference:Special offering in Nara). Maybe Kasuga shrine, most biggest shrine in Nara, had made efficiency
