I like a old big tree of cherry which bloom lonely and have been taking a picture of them in Nara prefecture. there are many big tree of cherry left in Nara prefecture and known approximate forty or fifty (Refer: Cherry at Yamato). Those are not located in big temples, but almost in small temple or shrine at a mountain village This Edohikan cherry at Shiraki is about three hundred years old and designated as a Natural treasure in Sakurai-shi. Especially it is rare Kanjou rope is hanged over at the front way of the cherry , and we can take a picture of cherry blossom and this old custom.
By the way, I think it is very mysterious this straight way is cut suddenly about 50 meter from here and thrown out against the sky. I know Kanjou rope is hanged over the twin trees at the boundary of the village as a charm against evil, but this way is break off against the sky like as the steps to the heaven. What is this for?
